The awkward dance on the bus and the absence of personal space

Don't get me wrong there are some great things about taking the bus. For instance the interesting learning experience, because we all know very well that we would never choose to hang out with all of the different types of people that the bus does offer to us. The sounds of multiple conversations all so very different surrounding your silent thoughts. The bus simply offers a way in which we can come together to take public transit and be environmentally more aware of our earth and its need for less pollution. BUT.. here's the but.. It seems like there is a dance on the bus a dance that almost everyone partakes in. One in which you take 3 steps up and the some steps to the left.. its always this way to start. And when its busy you weave in amongst all the people you never dreamed you'd have to be so close to. This is the intimate part of the dance.. that is unless you trip and or fall on someone. And it seems there is always noise on the bus, I call this noise the music. We have the bus engine and quirky individual bus noises. If there are any windows open you have all the noises outside and the noises of traveling with the windows open. Then you have the footsteps of all the new people who step on to the bus to join the dance. You have watches ticking, you have people fidgeting, some people talking, you have people on cell-phone, and people listening to headphone.. some of these people even share there music with everyone on the bus,  I guess just incase others forgot to bring there music. How nice, although not everyone sees it this way. The you have that faint murmur of the bus drivers radio coming from the front of the bus, o and all the people pulling and pushing the "next stop" button. Really the bus offers so many different sounds and surroundings to enjoy. And if the people across from you just aren't as attractive as you'd like them to be, well you can always look up at all the wonderful signs and advertising the Bus offers. Do remember not do be fooled by all the advertisements though. And speaking of I am going to post a funny email I was sent a while back about ads on the bus as my next post. Anyways I hope I have just slightly inspired some of you to view the bus in a different way. A way in which you partake in. You bring something different on to the bus that the bus didn't have already. We all do. Anjoy the sounds and strange people, and the boring people, and the loud people, and the quiet people, and the obnoxious people, and the beautiful people, and the less beautiful people, the ones that might need a shower, and the ones that bring sweet smells on to the bus, enjoy it all because "this to shall pass"
